Why? Was Roy Keane never outspoken? He had much more freedom than Rooney ever has and he was an amazing captain. But did Keane ever state his intent to leave the club in the fashion Rooney did?

He certainly doesn't deserve a new contract with his recent performances. Fergie was right to drop him towards the end of the season, and in contrast, make Carrick captain for his last game. Fergie made his thoughts perfectly clear there.

So, it's part of modern day football. They are trying to get him a good deal. I think he's worth the extra pay rise. Sign him up! There's doing a good job as an agent and then there is manipulating a player to get every last pound out of him.

I don't see Rooney leaving this summer.Actually i don't see anyone outside UK willing to pay his wage demands, and we won't sell to a UK club.

Yeah but the tax is different abroad, they pay 40 or 50 percent over here. Spain is substantially less. To be honest I could see Monaco or PSG coming in for him. Arsenal is the strongest rumour too, but I agree with you, we probably wont sell to an english club.
