Ok, we've had the period of mourning & everything, so maybe it's time to have a look at some of the things Ferguson could've done better. It's hard to find fault with his career with us, but there are certain things he's made a balls of.
The glaring one is he should've done far better in Europe. 2 CLs from the talent he's had at his disposal over the past 20 years is a poor return whatever way you look at it.
How about his legal battle with Magnier & McManus?
Was he a hypocrite regarding agents? He regularly pontificated about how they're the big, bad scoundrels of football...then sanctioned the purchase of Bebe whose own long-term agent was muscled out by Jorge Mendes at the last minute before a €9m transfer...Mendes subsequently pocketed almost €3.5m of the transfer fee himself.
